Nothing. Our service is completely free to businesses. We're paid a commission by the acquirer (the payment company) when we successfully place a merchant with them. Our interests are aligned — we only earn if you switch to a better deal.
Most businesses are approved and live within a few days of submitting their application. The exact timeline depends on the acquirer and the complexity of your business, but a week is a reasonable expectation for most straightforward cases.
No. The deals we source have no long-term contract commitment. You can cancel at any time without a penalty.
Our card-payments panel currently includes Paynt SoftPOS (for card-present, in-person transactions) and Rapyd (for card-not-present, e-commerce). We're adding more acquirers to the panel — get in touch if you have a specific provider in mind.
To give you an accurate quote, we need your current provider's name, a rough sense of your monthly card turnover, and (ideally) a recent merchant statement showing your current rates. You can start without the statement and we'll request it if needed.
Yes — we work with businesses in both Ireland and the UK.
A card machine (or POS terminal) is used to take payments in person — your customer taps or inserts their card. A payment gateway is the technology used to take payments online through your website. Some businesses need one, some need both.
